Operation Damascus Steel is a fictional but plausibly grounded single-player mission set over Damascus in July 2017. You fly a Syrian MiG-29A from Sayqal/Tsayqal Airbase on a one-pass unguided bomb strike against a rebel ammunition hub in Jobar. No brave passes, no smart weapons, no loitering: navigate by waypoints and landmarks, find red smoke from a ground FAC, identify the warehouse 800m east, dive through haze and AAA, release FAB-500s, flare hard, and escape before MANPADS or fuel end the sortie. The mission is intentionally grim, difficult, and atmosphere-focused, designed around the constraints of an aging air force fighting over a dense urban front.
